Our President is a Muslim?
Many, many statements have been said about our newly elected President Barack Obama. The question still lies; what is true?
“Obama’s BFF is a terrorist!” False. This statement deals with Obama’s childhood friend, William Ayers. Ayers was an anti-war protestor in the 1960’s. At this time it was not uncommon to meet college kids gathering to go against the government. It almost falls under the same “go green” shenanigans going on right now, only more intense. This in no way makes Obama a terrorist, or his friend a threat to our nation. His protesting days have been over for about 40 years.
“Obama kills babies” Depends. This is all based on what you consider killing. Obama’s party (DFL) is pro-choice. There are many levels of pro-choice. Some have a certain limit on how many times, other regulate the reasons why, some also just let it happen-wherever, whenever. A question arises, when does a life begin? That would define if Obama were killing babies or not.
“Obama is sexist” False. The McCain, Palin organization tried to claim Obama was sexist during the campaign. They said his “It’s like putting lipstick on a pig” remark was about McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin. This comment was actually about one of McCain’s policies.
“The KKK endorsed Obama.” False. The KKK leader, Ronald Edwards, said, “anything is better than Hillary Clinton.” This does not mean they would back Obama in his running for presidency.
“Obama is a Muslim!” False! Obama is a Christian. In his younger years he did attend both Catholic and Muslim schooling for their academic levels, not for the religious beliefs. Obama belongs to Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side of Chicago.
What are we to learn from all these false myths? We need to learn how to separate the truths from words that have been twisted for political purposes. Stop believing every word that is heard. Fact check peoples words and your own brain.
