The parents of Park student Roxana Fritz are trying to adopt a little girl from Ukraine. Ukraine is located in Eastern Europe. Roxanna is selling bracelets to help bring this little girl to the United States. The little girl’s name is Dania. The plastic bracelets say 147million minus 1. That means that there are 147 million orphans in the world minus Dania. The bracelets are $5 each. They are blue and yellow representing the Ukrainian flag. Dania has health problems such has facial Hemergous. She just turned 4 in September. In Ukraine, children with down syndrome or physical disabilites are usually transferred to mental institutions. Roxanna’s family hopes to bring Dania to the US before her transfer to an institution. The family will be selling the bracelets throughout the month of October. If you would like to purchase a bracelet, Roxanna has B lunch and, She is in first hour with Ms.Roemer in room 202.
