I’m sure that we have all been wondering the same thing at one point or another, What is up with construction? What are they doing to our school? I found the answers for you.

To start, in the spring of 2008 duct work was installed in the second floor classrooms for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. This means that we will get heat and air conditioning sometime in the fall of 2009. Mechanical rooms were added to the Park High School in several different places so that these updates to the heating/cooling system could be accommodated.

In the science classrooms, new lab areas that will feature better designs, more accessability, and more technological capability. Park High science students will have state-of-the-art facilities at their disposal in these updated classrooms.

You also may be wondering what the front of the building is being reconstructed for. A two-story, walk-in, atrium will be the student’s commons. A new group room will be added that will seat about 150 people.

Construction will continue until sometime in the summer of 2010.

These links will take you to see what they are adding to Park High School:
