The Giants ignored all of the drama surrounding their star wideout Plaxico Buress as he accidentally shot himself in his already injured leg. Plaxico does not face life threatening injuries but he does face criminal charge and will plead not guilty to criminal weapon possession.
The Giants offense did not miss a beat on Sunday as quarterback Eli Manning threw for 305 yards on 21 attempts and 1 touchdown. Their run game was also on point as their runningbacks rushed for a combined 101 yards and 1 touchdown. With an added 3 field goals by kicker Jay Feely. The Redskins had troubles yesterday as their starting running back Clinton Portis rushed for only 22 yards as he left the game with a neck injury and did not return for the rest of the game. Quarterback Jason Campbell threw for 232 yards with 1 interception he hooked up with one of his favorite targets chris coooley 6 times for 71 yards.
But in the end the Giants defense held the redskins offense to only 7 points and improved their record to 11-1.
